      In the Croatia, the primary school starts on six or seven years old, consisting in eight series. In 2007, was approved a law to get increase free education, which continues not being obligatory until the eighteen years old. The obligatory schooling consists in eight grades of secondary education which are provided by gymnasiums and vocational schools.

      There are eight universities at a whole, consisting in University of Zagreb (which is own of University of Split), University of Rijeka (which is property of University of Zadar) and the Dubrovnik University as a property of University of Pula and Dubrovnik International University. Actually, the University of Zadar was the first founded in the country in the year of 1396 and kept active until 1807, when others institutions of superior schooling took the control of it. The University of Zagreb was founded in 1669, and is the oldest University that keeps operating itself at the Southeast Europe.
